EndNote

EndNote is a reference management software that can be used on Windows and Macintosh computers. It allows you to create a collection of bibliographic records and files to use for your research and writing.

Changes to library links

Some of your library links may have been affected by the June 20 2023 system upgrade. Links for references in your EndNote library that contain ezproxy will require updating. Please refer to the support material How to update links to library resources in your EndNote library for further information.

What is EndNote?

EndNote is bibliographic management software that allows you to:

  • Organise references, pdfs and other files into a searchable database
  • Create a bibliography and in-text citations or footnotes in your document, with automatic formatting to your selected style

EndNote is most useful for researchers and research higher degree students who are collecting, storing, using and re-using a large number of references over an extended period of time to write journal articles, theses or books.

You will need to be familiar with your primary referencing style. EndNote cannot solve referencing problems for students who are not sure how to reference.
