How do I use Discover It? Print Page

Quick search guide

Discover It searches most of the library's resources (print and online).

To search:

  • type your keywords in the search box and click Search.
  • Use the radio buttons if you wish to limit your search to only 'Journal articles' or 'Books & eBooks'.
  • Otherwise you can search everything and use the limiting options on the results page to help focus your search.

Tip - Use the Advanced Search link to structure your search using multiple search boxes.

Refine your search by using the left hand menu

Print, save or export your results using the right hand menu.

The left-hand menu has number of options for refining/limiting your search.

View these options when you click on a result from the list.

Tools you can use in Discover It! item records

To access results:

  • Click on PDF, HTML, Online Access or eBook Full Text links to open the full text of articles or ebooks.

  • Click View Catalogue Record to check the availability and location of print books, DVDs etc.
  • Click on  to view full text article in another database.
