EndNote

Central Queensland University's site licence covers students enrolled at the various campuses.

EndNote 20 for Windows and Macintosh are available for download from the Student portal.

1. Log into the Student Portal
2. Select Support from the left-hand menu
3. Go to Support and advice contacts
4. Scroll down to Study Success and click Software and downloads in Finding IT support.
5. Select EndNote
6. Read the License Terms and Conditions of Use. You are agreeing to these terms and conditions when you download the software.
7. Download and install the software:
   • Windows
     • Download the zip file.
     • Extract the files. Set the extracted folder to Downloads or another folder on your hard drive, not the same folder that it is currently in.
     • Right click on the installation file and select Run As Administrator.
   • Mac
     • Download the dmg file.
     • Double click the dmg file to open the installer.
     • Follow the prompts to install EndNote.

Download a copy from Company Portal

1. Open Company Portal on your staff computer.
2. Type EndNote into the search box at the top and click Enter.
3. Click the EndNote icon.
4. Click Install.

Download a copy from StaffNet

1. Log into StaffNet.
2. Type EndNote into the search box at the top and click Enter.
3. Click on EndNote in the results list where the link is staffnet.cqu.edu.au/our-uni/departments/iatd/Pages/EndNote.aspx.
4. Read the License Terms and Conditions of Use. You are agreeing to these terms and conditions when you download the software.
5. Download and install the software:
   • Windows
     • Download the zip file.
     • Extract the files. Set the extracted folder to Downloads or another folder on your hard drive, not the same folder that it is currently in.
     • Run the installation file as an administrator.
   • Mac
     • Download the dmg file
     • Double click the dmg file to open the installer
     • Follow the prompts to install EndNote.

If you are upgrading to a newer version of EndNote:

• Backup custom styles, filters, connection files and libraries including the .DATA folder before uninstalling the previous version.
   
• It is recommended that you uninstall the older version before you install the new version. Never run two versions of EndNote on the same computer.
