Accessing the library

The Rockhampton City library is located in building A (near Administration) and is open:

Monday to Thursday: 8.15 am - 4.00 pm
Friday: 8.15 am - 3.00 pm

The library is closed for all public holidays

After hours study space 

Current students can access a computer room in B block room 1.75 after the library closes until 9pm weekdays. 

You will need an afterhours access card to enter B block room 1.75. To obtain an after-hours access card please see Library staff during service hours between 8.15 am and 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8.15 am and 3.00 pm Friday. It may take 24-48 hours before your card is activated. Only students and staff are eligible for an afterhours access card.

If you have trouble accessing B block room 1.75 with your card please call Security on 0418 792 982.

In-person library and information technology support

You can get in-person assistance at the library desk during opening hours.

The library is unstaffed today (Monday 12 February)

The library is unstaffed Monday to Friday 12.30 pm to 1.00 pm.  During this time assistance is available by using the video kiosk. The video kiosk is located near the printer. Talk to a staff member by pressing 'Talk to us Live' on the screen.

Borrowing and returning books

To borrow books from the print collection please take them to the library desk for staff to loan. You will need a student ID card to borrow. If the desk is unstaffed please use the video kiosk.

To return books please place them in the return chutes outside the front door.

If you are unable to come to the campus due to Covid-19, you can request items only available in print via Library Search and have them delivered to your home address within Australia. Students will be provided a prepaid envelope to return the items. This service is free, courtesy of the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). You will also be provided additional loan days for transit time.

Accessing online books, journal articles and other resources

Students and staff can access the Library's online services and collections any time. You can explore the extensive range of eBooks and eJournals via Library Search.
