The Morning Bulletin is the local newspaper for Rockhampton and district.

The Morning Bulletin Index has ceased, but continues to be available as an archive, covering the period 1 January 1977 - 31 December 2008.

The MBI indexed articles considered important to the economic, political, social and cultural development of the Central Queensland region.

Articles may refer to persons, corporate bodies, or any newsworthy topic.

IMPORTANT: The MBI does not contain full-text articles

Instead, it provides information which will enable you to access the articles on microfilm or in print i.e. the article's title, date, page number.

The Morning Bulletin is available on microfilm from the Rockhampton campus library.

Students at campuses other than Rockhampton, and off-campus students, can request copies of articles by submitting a Request a photocopy form.

CQUniversity staff and students can now access editorial content from the Morning Bulletin through the following databases:

From 26.03.2008 to present in Factiva (3 Simultaneous users limit)

From 15.09.2010 to present in Newspaper Source Plus (Ebscohost)

FYI, the National Library of Australia is continuing to add digitised issues of the Morning Bulletin to its Historic Newspapers Archive.
